I was born in South Bend, Indiana, and
attended Indiana University where I obtained a bachelor’s
degree in chemistry and a minor in mathematics.
While in college, I conducted research with Professor
Michael VanNieuwenhze, reproducing the total synthesis
of macrocyclic peptide Patellamide A. In 2011, I began
my graduate studies at UC Irvine where my research with
Professor Larry Overman focuses on the development of
light-mediated reactions and application to the synthesis
of complex molecules. In my spare time I enjoy writing
music and cooking.
